Green Bean Dessert Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup dried green beans
6 cups water
1/2 cup rock sugar (adjust to taste)
1 pandan leaf (optional, for added fragrance)
Instructions:
- Rinse the dried green beans under cold water and soak them in water for at least 4 hours or overnight 
- Drain the soaked green beans and transfer them to a pot. 
- Add 6 cups of water to the pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. 
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the green beans simmer for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until they are soft and tender. 
- Stir occasionally and skim off any foam that forms on the surface. 
- Once the green beans are cooked, add rock sugar to the pot and stir until it dissolves completely. 
- If using, tie the pandan leaf into a knot and add it to the pot for added fragrance. Let the soup simmer for another 10-15 minutes. 
- Remove the pandan leaf if used, then turn off the heat. 
- Serve the sweet green bean soup hot or chilled, depending on your preference.
