Raw Sugar and Steamed Pear Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe pear 
- 1 tablespoon raw sugar 
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional) 
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) 
- Water 
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pear: - Wash the pear thoroughly under running water. - Cut the pear in half vertically and remove the core with a spoon or knife, creating a hollow cavity in each half. - If desired, sprinkle the inside of each pear half with a pinch of ground cinnamon. 
- Steam the Pear: - Place the pear halves in a steamer basket or a heatproof dish. - Fill a pot with water, ensuring it's below the level of the steamer basket. - Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil over medium heat. - Steam the pear halves for about 10-15 minutes or until they are tender but still hold their shape. 
- Sweeten with Raw Sugar: - Remove the steamed pear halves from the steamer and place them on serving plates. - Sprinkle each pear half with raw sugar while they are still warm. - Optionally, drizzle each pear half with a teaspoon of honey for added sweetness and flavor.
