Challenge of the month - 白

The oracle bone inscription represented two tongues; and one placed on top of the other, which indicated that someone spent a lot of effort in explaining something to make it clear.

As a radical, it forms a number of Chinese characters such as 百 (bǎi - hundred) and 的 (de - of).
